A Very Large Planet! During the demo last Friday, we showed off a demo with a 650 meter radius planet. This one is a little over 3000 meters radius, or roughly 22 times more surface area than the one we showed then.

A biome is not the same thing as a planetary archetype, but rather one brush of one to many that can be used on a planet. You could have trees meeting up with desert, and some ocean/jungle off in the distance.

Greybox/Whitebox of all early units for first playable tests of Planetary Annihilation. Only one of this unit is at full first pass, the Delta Commander, which is visible in the topmost picture in the bottom center. All other units range from rough first pass (basic models with first pass textures), to simple grey box geometry so that engineers can hook them up and test them in engine.

You’ll notice that some units are simply scaled up versions of their tech 1 counterparts. The goal with this pass is to represent the functional units we think we’ll need for first playable, as well as starting to set a rough tone for units. But every unit here will be subjected to a full design pass where the only thing that will stay recognizable between them is the intended function. The look can, and likely will, change entirely.

The new Delta commander, part of the just announced Cosmic Limited edition available at on our store. This is a representative model of what he will look like in game, with a couple different team color schemes applied to him.
